YOUR PRINTER. YOUR BOARD. YOUR LAST WONKY LETTER.
Change the words, color and optional photo. Download a US Letter PDF for home printing, or choose an 18 × 24 inch poster PDF for a suitable print shop. Attach the print to your board.
Make a whole sign ↗Choose the DIY kit for a design reference, a US Letter material sheet and assembly tips in one PDF. Cut out the pieces, try the arrangement on your board, then glue. Separate PNG pieces are available as a ZIP, too.
Make a DIY cheer kit ↗For the PDF, choose Actual size / 100% and check the preview for printer margins. A home-printer kit sheet stays US Letter even when the reference sign is 18 × 24 inches. Full-poster tiling is not included.

Lead with the nickname they know. Add one short line about how proud you are. If they do not like public attention, skip the name and choose a message they will recognize.
Use a line from your life together: the breakfast you always make, your shared show, or the joke that got you through training weekends. Keep the explanation off the board.
A photo of your dog, your family or your runner can be the personal detail. Use a clear original and a short message. You can keep the photo exactly as it is; no AI makeover is needed.
BEFORE YOU GET THE SCISSORS
What you get, how to print it, and the bits you make yourself.
Start with your runner’s name or nickname and one short message. An inside joke, a familiar phrase or a simple ‘We’re so proud of you’ gives you a personal starting point. Keep the main message readable at a glance; put longer words of encouragement in a note for after the race.
Yes. The template editor lets you change the name, words, colors and photo, then download a PDF or PNG for free. You do not need an account for those downloads. Optional AI features are separate; the examples on this page do not require AI or credits.
The maker offers US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) and an 18 × 24 inch poster PDF. Choose Letter for a home printer, or take the larger PDF to a print shop that supports that size. The large poster is not automatically tiled onto multiple home-printer pages. For a larger board at home, use the Letter-sized DIY material sheet and arrange the pieces yourself.
Choose DIY kit in the editor and download the PDF. It includes a finished-design reference, a US Letter material sheet and assembly tips. Print at Actual size / 100%, check the one-inch scale line, then cut and arrange the pieces on your own board before gluing. You can add handwritten details around them.
Yes. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP smaller than 10 MB in the editor. The template uses your original photo in a rectangular photo area. Automatic background removal and pose changes are not included in this free workflow. Choose a clear photo you have permission to use.
Choose a joke your friend would enjoy seeing in public. A shared ritual or a joke about your own spectating is a good place to start. Avoid personal details they would rather keep private, jokes about their body, and ‘almost there’ messages when you are not actually near the finish.
Yes. Change the distance and words to fit the event. The half-marathon example uses 13.1 miles, while the first-marathon example celebrates the occasion. The same editor also works for a 5K or 10K; check every race-specific detail before you print.
No. Race Cheer Kit provides digital downloads only. You arrange printing, paper, a board and any cutting or assembly. Check your event’s current spectator and sign rules before bringing it, and keep the course and other spectators’ view clear.
